3D Software Engineer (1) Full-time work

Candidate will work closely with Level Designers, 3D Modelers, 3D Animators, and Sound Engineers to design and develop high-quality game titles and net generation game concepts for the PC and XBox platforms. Candidate should be passionate about playing and making games and have prior experience working with game engines in C/C++. Candidate must have deep knowledge of object-oriented design principles.

Qualifications

5+ years experience with C/C++ programming on Microsoft Visual Studio .NET.
Strong debugging skills as well as memory and performance optimization.
Experience with DirectX 9 programming.
Experience with 3D games and/or 3D engines.
Prior experience with a published game is highly desired.
Experience developing action/adventure games is highly desired.
Experience with code profiling tools is highly desired.
Game AI development expertise is desired.
Physics simulation development experience is highly desired.


3D Modeler (2) Contract-to-Hire

Candidate will be responsible for creating high quality 3D models from detailed drawings while working within specific polygon limitations. Applicants must be able to produce character models and animation. Experience using 3D Studio Max 7/8 for modeling and animations required. An understanding of character creation (modeling, texturing and rigging) is a must. Applicants should be able to work with a range of styles and be able to produce UV texture maps for the Texture Artists. Candidate must work well in a team environment and have strong communication skills. Candidate must also take and understand direction well, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.

Qualifications

Experience with creating 3D models, knowledge of 3D Studio Max 7+ modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating.
Prior game development experience is highly desired.
Knowledge with texturing tools, such as Adobe Photoshop and Maxon Bodypaint is desired.
Candidate must provide a portfolio that shows prior character modeling, meshing and texturing skills (demonstration of animation is appreciated). Portfolio should showcase models as textured and un-textured.


Texture Artist (1) Contract-to-Hire

Responsible for creating detailed photo-realistic textures for game characters, architecture, landscapes, and props. Candidate may be required to produce sky-boxes that feature 3D landscapes. Textures must be very high quality and include details such as shading and shadows, depth, and life. Candidate will work closely with the game designer, 3D modelers, and level designers to work out the specifications for all textures.

Qualifications

Prior game development experience or game-modding experience is highly desired.
Experience with creating texture maps, normal maps, bump maps, and environment maps.
Strong knowledge with texturing tools, such as Adobe Photoshop, TextureMaker, Bryce, and Maxon Bodypaint is desired.
Experience with UV texture mapping
Candidate must provide sample work or a portfolio that features a sample of textures produced, such as a texture pack (watermarked is acceptable). Portfolio should include a sample UV texture map for a character and a sample skybox graphic.
